Mission Statement:

A Welcome Home Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit opening doors for every student by empowering underserved families to access high-performing public school districts. We bridge the gap in housing affordability by supplementing existing vouchers, enabling students and their families to move to vibrant communities with exceptional schools—and building an ecosystem of support to ensure long-term success.

Model & Programs:

   Housing Access Initiative

• Partners with families to close the affordability gap in top-tier school districts by supplementing housing vouchers with rental subsidies, security deposits, and moving costs.
• Collaborates with local housing authorities and schools to streamline transitions.

   Community Integration Program

• Provides wrap-around support to help families acclimate, including:
• School enrollment navigation
• Tutoring and mentorship for students
• Parent workshops (financial literacy, local resources)
• Cultural connection events

   Advocacy & Awareness

• Educates policymakers and the public on systemic barriers to educational equity.
• Shares data-driven success stories to scale the model nationally.

Geographic Focus:

• 2025: Piloting in Fairfield County, Connecticut (targeting districts like Darien and Westport).
• 2026+: Expansion to similar high-opportunity communities nationwide.

Beneficiaries:

• Underserved students (K–12) trapped in under-resourced schools due to housing costs.
• Families eligible for housing vouchers but priced out of high-opportunity areas.

Funding & Transparency:

• Grants, individual donations, and corporate partnerships fund rental subsidies and support services.
• 90%+ of funds directly support programs (per 501(c)(3) best practices).

Future Goals:

• Serve 30+ families in Fairfield County (CT) in 2025.
• Develop a replicable toolkit for national expansion by 2026.
• Advocate for policy changes to remove bureaucratic barriers to voucher mobility.

Legal Compliance:

All activities align with IRS 501(c)(3) requirements. Every dollar collected is used exclusively to advance educational equity through housing access and support services.
